He's started music lessons at the @thevillageguitarist in Cedar Crest. The owners are genuinely good honest hardworking people! Russels teacher Adam is amazing at helping to instill confidence. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed doing music portraits for students there. It's so fun to see kids and teens light up with their instruments.

Zaya was my second shooter! It was so fun to do this wedding together. I didn't plan for it to be that way, but I'm so glad it worked out that way. Minus the first one these are all photos she took.
I thought if she had a camera in hand then she'd have more fun. When she comes with me I need very little assistance and she feels awkward hanging out but this time was different.
She surprised herself with how well she did. Kids artistic, she just doesn't see it. I think sometimes we have very ridged ideas of what qualifies as artistic and if it doesn't fit in tidy little box we deem ourselves unartistic.
What would you add to this sentiment?
She is so good with people at her age, it blows my mind. I love this kid. Her favorite color is yellow and I think that means she's meant to be a photographer. She is full of happy yellow light.

I've been in a bit of a funk the past 2 days. They are always annoying right?! Ugh. What I realized again last night is that it really is the small and simple things, that if you keep doing get you through. What small things get you through?
Today, I knew my water intake hasn't been awesome the last week or so for some reason so I'm doing that small thing today. Small things will get me back on track.
Always, scripture and prayer in the morning.
Now, I'm going to go plant some plants before they blow into Colorado.
Later, editing, and more shooting.

Things don't go as planned. Life is beautiful and crazy and I wanted to talk about my new website that I am sooo EXCITED about but I don't have time now because I need to pack up for a shoot and so I will just leave it at this perfect moment.
